A good part of your life has gone by and you realize that it hasn’t turned out exactly how you wanted it to be. But ok, it’s life right?
When we’re in the whole 9 to 5 system, trading our time away for money, we tend to forget what matters in life. It consumes us so much that our values and the way we want to experience our life just takes the wayside.
Throughout the initial part of my adult life, from college till about a couple of years ago, I always thought my dreams were just going to be a fantasy and I just simply have to give into the whole rat race of life until I retire.
But one thing kept boiling deeper inside…
Every day, every week, every month and every year that went by, a sense of regret kept climbing up. Not a regret for my past, but the fear for regretting not living the life I wanted.
The further I moved into my corporate career, I realized the less I saw my dream becoming a reality. The higher I climbed the ladder the more time it took from me. I was noticing how less and less enthused I was about working there. And when I looked at the people who were in positions higher than me, I just saw more pain and regret.
I was working all the time, and when I didn’t work I was thinking about work. I didn’t have time anymore to do the things I wanted, things I’m passionate about like exploring the world, mountain biking, snowboarding and such.
So one day I had a serious talk with myself, and said if I don’t make a change now will I regret it when I’m 100 years old and looking back on my life?
That’s when things started to click. And when I started to reprogram my mind so I can get the right mindset, skillsets and vehicle to achieve my goals.
This eventually led me to invest in myself for a training and mentorship program on how to start an online affiliate business around my passions and purpose.
So if you don’t want to live a life of regret then consider this, what will you do differently to ensure you have no regrets? Will you regret not even trying?
Don’t wait till you have regrets to do something. Do it now so you don’t have to deal with the guilt later on.
P.S. – If you want to learn more about regrets, I recorded a series of videos starting with this one to help you get inspired to live a life of no regrets. 😉
