So realizations serve their purpose by helping you see that you are not your automatic behaviours and reactions and that they are a result of the past.

While transformations serve their purpose by transmuting emotional memories and freeing you from their control over you and your life.

The hard truth is we’ve all experienced trauma. The only difference is the varying degree of them, their frequency, and the unique situations in which they happened.

The child who loses their favourite teddy bear feels the same pain as a child experiencing parental abandonment.

The pain of a child who gets laughed at in school is the same as the child who gets verbal abuse at home.

By the time we’re 7 years old we’ve built a sense of self, an identity and have accumulated a varying degree of trauma that affects our thoughts, our emotions, and our perceptions for the rest of our lives until we choose to transmute it.

And the way continuously transmute my traumas is by facing my shadows, holding space for my emotions to be noticed and felt, and allowing the light of love to dissolve emotional memory stored in my body.

These emotional memories remain dormant until something or someone reactivates it. The difference is now we get to choose to either fall back or pull through.
